Fonda Vela is a hotel dedicated to the idea of ecoturism in harmony with nature.
The latin root of the word Fonda means a place for rest. Vela, or candle, for us represents service and hospitality.
The atmosphere here is peaceful and sensitive to the local enviroment.
The views of the Gulf of Nicoya from the hotelīs 1400 meters elevation are spectacular.
The climate is refreshing, many time referred to as "eternal spring".
The beautiful Santa Elena Reserve is a short drive away.
A visit of at least 2 nights in Monteverde is recommended.
