Hotel Grano de Oro has 32 unique and tastefully decorated rooms in three categories . It also has a two room Family Suite, an elegant Garden Suite with a jacuzzi bath tub and private garden, and the romantic Vista de Oro Suite with it's panoramic view of San Jose and the surrounding mountains, all to be enjoyed from a private in-suite jacuzzi hot tub.
Each room and suite boasts an exquisite bath, beautifully crafted wood furniture, comfortable rattan armchairs and quality beds for restful nights. For the comfort of our guests all rooms are designated as nonsmoking, with smoking being permitted in the restaurant , gardens and other common areas.
Room Descriptions
Standard: The smallest and least expensive of the rooms, this category offers cozy quarters with a queen bed and private bathroom with shower.
Superior: While a bit smaller than the deluxe rooms, most superior rooms have a bathtub/shower combination and a queen bed.
Deluxe: The most spacious of our three "room" categories, all deluxe rooms have a bathtub/shower combination and either one queen and one twin bed, two queen beds, or a king-size bed.
Suite Descriptions
Family Suite: A two-room suite with a queen and twin bed in one room and a queen bed in the second room, comfortably accommodating up to 5 people.
Garden Suite: A spacious suite with a Jacuzzi tub in the bathroom as well as a small sitting room, which opens to a private tropical garden.
Vista de Oro Suite: The piece de resistance is the hotel's Vista de Oro Suite. Reached by a private staircase, the Vista de Oro lives up to its name commanding a breathtaking view of the Cordillera Central mountain range and the Central Valley skyline. Tiles, individually handmade in hues of ocher and sienna covers the walls and are complemented by rich wood paneling. A series of delicate cabinets stretches the entire length of the room and carefully placed lightning illuminates antique treasures.
The gardens and common areas that weave throughout the hotel overflow with an abundance of tropical plants and flowers and the sound of gently cascading fountains can be heard throughout. A secluded rooftop garden terrace with lawn beds and jacuzzi hot tubs is also available for our guests enjoyment.
The 'gallery' gift shop displays a wide selection of quality Costa Rican handicrafts and is the perfect place to select a special souvenir or simply to browse and enjoy.
