Accommodation
Lodging at Quetzal's Paradise is special for those who enjoy direct contact with nature. This is true due to fact that all the cabins are located in an area where the flora and fauna are abundant. Just looking out the window of your cabin you can identify several species of birds.
These cabins are built with cipres and pine wood, cultivated and certified, in order to guard the environment of the farm.
The cabins have either, double beds, bunk beds or single beds, depending if the cabin is for double, triple or quadruple occupancy.
All the cabins have a spectacular view of the surounding mountains, privacy and are located so that our guests can enjoy the sounds of nature.

We invite you to experience the beauties of our region. Along our trails you can find species of flora and fauna characteristic of the highlands and Cloud Forest
It is very common to see mixt flocks of birds crossing the trails as you walk through as well as a great variety of insects. It is possible to also observe some species of mammals running around.

Our Region
Quetzal's Paradise is located in the Masizo de La Muerte, Talamanca Mountain Range, in a very important Conservation Area of Costa Rica y surrounded by Los Quetzales National Park, Los Santos Forest Reserve, Tapantí National Park and Masizo de La Muerte.
The Quetzal is considered one of the most beautiful birds of the world, and this bird nests in the nearby forest and can be seen all year round. Nevertheless they are more abundant during the months of April and May, months when their reproducing themselves.
Besides the Quetzal, there are a number of bird species that can be seen here such as hummingbirds and woodpeckers, making this region a true "paradise of birds"
Nocturnal Birds in this region
During the same months that we can see the Quetzals, we can find two species of Owls. The: Lechucita Serranera (Otus clarkii) and the Andean Pygmy-Owl (Glaucidium jardinii). A very rare bird that has been seen in this place is the Oilbird (Steatornis caripensis).
