The Albergue Hacienda Moravia de Chirripo is located in Turrialba, in Cartago province, 100 km away from downtown San Jose. In the middle of a hidden valley, in the sloops of Talamanca Mountain Range, Hacienda Moravia de Chirripo is a cattle ranch that shares its borders with the Chirripo Indian Reserve where the Cabecars live. This Indigenous group is the second largest in Costa Rica and the one that keeps more of their traditions, customs and language. That's why, our most recommended activity is the encounter with the Cabecars, to visit their homes in the reserve and find out their way of living. It's very interesting to speak with them, helped by a translator, about what they do for living, how they work planting vegetables, grains, fruits and also the stories the elder people in the community tell to the youngster so they can keep their way of life for the next generations. An unique experience to find out some roots of costarrican people...
